Love the plug wires, would like to upgrade to something like that on my truck in the future.

Those Summit 8mm wires had very solid reviews and hands on seem very well made. And they were only like $43 too, so I said why not. The stock Delco replacements are 7mm and cost about the same if not a little more depending on where ya get them.

Well, got the water pump sprayed and unmasked. It's in the floorboard of the Tahoe now so it can bake in the heat and cure. I'll likely shoot the lower intake Aluminum to match the upper while I have it out for cleaning. Also plan to install the new MPFI spider and possibly assemble the intake before it goes back to make install less steps. Anyway, here is the pump.

Well got a chunk of her tore down. Gonna have to get a impact, PS pump pulley tool and balancer removal tool now. Glad I talked the wife into the new dizzy and doing the lower intake gaskets. Looks what I found hiding behind the alternator bracket in the second pic. Looks like a leak where the intake meets the head and front of the block. At least I have more justification now, lol. And now will be cleaning up the front of the block of all the old grease and also doing a timing cover and timing set.

Pacesetter shorties coated with Aluminum VHT flameproof. Hope it holds up, I did 3 coats of the VHT high temp primer then 4 coats of the Aluminum. Still need to cure them after install. Old swing frame out by the fire pit is a great paint station, lol.

I hope they do to, I went ahead and had them baked so I don't have to cure them on the truck, I hope that helps.

Here in Fl I put them inside the car in direct sunlight for about a month to cure ....probably 30 days at ~ 130 peak..... your higher temp baking should help though you would think....let us know if it works...it pixxed me off because I spent the money on the additional primer and like yourself applied it like they said....

Well, small update. Got the water pump pulley, tensioner and idler shot with the Aluminum engine enamel. They are curing now. It's been raining so once it clears up I'll yank the dizzy and lower intake. Also waiting on extra funds to rent the tools I need and order the new dizzy, PS pump and timing set/cover. I'll get a pic up after work today.

Well, haven't got a ton done in the past few weeks. However I am about to order the dizzy, PS pump and timing cover/set. I bought the PS pulley tools and the balancer tools so I'm ready to finish tearing that down. Also got the alternator bracket painted black and passenger valve cover painted aluminum. Once the PS pump is off that bracket will be black while the resivoir/pulley are aluminum. I tried a Dewalt battery impact on the balancer pulley to get the 3 smaller bolts out but they didn't budge so I'm gonna have to borrow a air gun to get them.
