Hey guys! I just replaced the multifunction switch on my 92 4.3L and the darn cruise still doesn't work :(
The cable looks good. Do the modules go bad a lot?

My cruise stopped working in my 96 4.3L ECSB. The button on the end of the stalk depresses, but doesn't return. Wondering if yours is similar.

That switch is critical to a whole lot of things working. Same on Dodges as I found out the hard way. It will drop out of cruise and the transmission will exit overdrive in a heartbeat when the brake light switch is out of adjustment or bad.

must be something in the air, my cruise went out a few days ago too. i remembered doing all the troubleshooting before, and that it ended up being the brake switch.. so again, the brake switch was ajar and a little twist made it all happy again.
