I try
Just use a proper oil change interval for the oil type you use. being a 2000 you have roller lifters to so no worries with zddp or the like. So, 5w30 or 10w30 synthetic,blend, or conventional. I've run aircraft turbine engine oil in these for ***** and giggles and it worked alright.
