Up until now I haven't payed attention that this truck is a diesel! That makes me like it even more! I guess I read that it was, but had a brain blockage or something! This is shaping up to one fine truck! Keep it up!

Well..got some bed rail caps, front bed cap, and tailgate cap installed. I like the plastic look more than the diamond tread look that some of the other brands offer.

Also got some of the stainless trim on..starting to look like a truck again. Got the toolbox mounted back on also.

Started working on the tow mirrors. These are 99-02 mirrors with a swapped 88-98 base. Back when I bought these, I couldn’t get black plastic with a nearly fully loaded mirror option.

Got them wired to work correctly with 4 wire GM harness...I had to cut a connection and add a wire (thanks @nickthehick78 for figuring that out!!!). Then ran that to a new metri 150 female terminal. During one of my junkyard runs, I grabbed a few mirror pigtails from busted mirrors. Took one of them apart and used the plastic connector with the new mirror leads.

I also installed boost auto parts’s signal and running light diode kit, so I can have both running lights and signal. Still need to finish up the wiring for the parking lights and signal lights. Not sure I’m gonna wire up the defog.

So far one mirror installed. Also enjoying my Father’s Day gift from the kids...my old ones were shot!

Bed rail caps look good, nice and subtle. Keep an eye on any water that may build up under them. I'd hate for it to start some problems for ya.

Finally got the passenger side wired up and mounted. Here are my final pinouts for just the mirror function.

Driver side, 4th wire I added was a black white wire.

Passenger side, 4th wire I added was a brown wire.

Also started putting in my interior LEDs.

For driver side window and or locks, used 1 NE03 and 1 NE04. For passenger side window switch I used 1 NE04. I used cool white in these spots.

For the door lights, I used 194 bright white LED. I had to enlarge the openings a little-I used a step bit until they fit. Footwell lights are the same bright white-direct fit.

Also did the mirror switch. Hardest part was taking apart the old switch-I finally figured out that the top button just pops off (use a towel over it to catch it..mine went flying to the top of the kitchen cabinets). Then used Neo4 cool white bulbs and took them out of the sockets-they just pushed into the switch. I had to drill the white plastic to make room for the resistors.

Really liking the truck! Glad you did the LED conversion, that was one of the best mods I had done to my truck, the interior is so much brighter.
