I did some digging and found this: http://www.vintageair.com/INSTRUCTIONS/Brackets/901805_a.pdf. Brackets exist to replace the R4 with a Sanden, and the Sanden FLX7 series is the one you want because it uses the same flange for the hoses. Might have to modify the hoses to match up but the manifold bolts right up. Other things - Sanden pulley is 8 row, GM uses 6 row. Just put the belt in the spot it's most happy. You will also need a smaller belt i've read.

Got it all installed except for the online filter which I will do tomorrow. Overall not too difficult but this system came with absolutely no manual. Lucky I have the Chevy service manual to go by. Will check vacuum after install and let you guys know

Snapped the evap tube... Well... I’m sure it happens all the time. More worried that itt will happen at the other end.

Installed the line. Vacuumed system. Put some leak stop and dye and Freon. And ..... nice Ac. So far holding pressure. Will check in a few days.

With the FLX7 compressor if you want a 6 groove pulle they sell sanden 6 grooves or you can just grab the clutch/pully off a Dodge Durango and slap it on. I'm in the process of doing exactly that
