ounds like a new truck! I took it to the exhaust shop today and had my new Magnaflow downpipe/cats installed with a new Walker OEM muffler. The truck sounds like it did the day my dad bought it. I’ve never been happier to have a quiet truck lol.

Surprisingly the OEM downpipe wasn’t in terrible shape. The muffler had a few pinholes in it though.

Photo of it in the barn tonight

Haven’t done much since last week due to painting our nursery for the little one. Wife is due in December so I’m going to be busy lol.

I haven’t ordered new tires yet, but I ran out into the barn tonight and coated the fender wells. So much better!!!

Not much to report, I’ve been working non stop so I haven’t been working on it. I drove it to work a few times last week, but that’s about it.

I plan on doing a complete coolant flush this week and possibly throw on a new water pump when I do the thermostat and temp. sending unit.

These came last week. Hopefully getting them installed with an alignment before the weekend.

I was going through some of the brochures today that I collect and found what my truck will look like again someday minus the fact mines a Chevy. This trucks from ‘97 as the lower color was silver. It was changed to pewter metallic in ‘98. These sure were beautiful trucks.

So time for an update. Had my new tires mounted and balanced last week. Getting an alignment in the morning. Even without the alignment, there is a night and day different with the ride quality.

Today I started flushing the cooling system. The overflow tank was literally the nastiest thing ever. The buildup of gunk in the line looked like a damn blood clot.

Also got to roll around in this on Friday.

Not much of an update other than I’ve been driving the truck. It’s been running great, still running water through the system flushing out the old coolant and crud. I’m thinking toward the end of the week I’ll install the new parts.

Photos of how she sits after the alignment. My biggest decision at the moment is trying to decide if I want to put the Ventshades back on the doors or not. My dad loved them and I used to, but I think it looks cleaner without.

I’ve been busier than ever the past few weeks it seems, so I haven’t had any time to change the water pump. We had our gender reveal this past weekend so the truck sat, but on a positive note.....we’re having a girl!!!

Have tonight and tomorrow off so I pulled the truck into the barn and gave it a detail. The first time ever that it has seen a clay bar lol. Anyway, the paint looks great except for the rockers lol. She still cleans up good for her age.

Nothing to really report with the truck. Parked it for the winter a couple weeks ago when the roads were salted during a storm we had.

Threw a new 195 degree thermostat in with fresh coolant right before. Temperature fluctuates like it should so she’s running good.

Our baby girl arrived Thanksgiving morning so I’ve been enjoying her being here!!
