Does anyone have a lead on a Chevy style grill that would fit a 92 that does NOT have a mounting spot for the emblem, or is this something I'd have to try and custom build/modify?

The rest of the truck has no badges, I'd like to try to delete this last one.

I don't think there is such thing. You might just have to modify it, unfortunately. I could be wrong, but pretty sure there isn't one available at the moment.

That's kinda surprising... Guess I'll hit the junkyard and see what I can pull off with fiberglass and body filler...

Thanks for the info.

Maybe, I'm more fond of the Chevy style, but that is definitely an option.

The only Chevy grilles I've ever seen without the bow tie mounting spot were a specific variation of the old phantom style grilles. Like this one.

To my knowledge, they haven't been made in many years. Would probably be very difficult to find one today.

That's exactly why I'm looking for, although I'd prefer if the headlights were exposed!

I've had pix of this truck saved for years. Really like the look!
IIRC, this was fabricated.
There was a member here years ago, that modded his.
I recall something about cutting out pieces of a second grill on either side of the bowtie to replace the centre portion that he had removed from his.
Lots of bonding of additional plastic braces in behind the joins.
The front was finished with typical body work methods.
Both grilles he started with were paintable. No chrome.

That's gorgeous! I was thinking on how I could pull it off, and chopping two grills was all I could come up with too... Figure some epoxy/fiberglassing, with some reinforcing should do it. Just has to withstand vibration. If it's a custom thing, I'll see what I can do to provide a write up and document my progress.

Thanks for all the info guys. Now all I have to figure out is what I'm going to do with the air/fuel delivery, and how.. but that's for a different thread.
