Im in the process of building a 4-linked, front and rear, 1997 tahoe and have hit a snag with the steering. I'm using all heim joint steering, thus using a drop pitman arm with a machined hole for heims from barnes 4wd. In the description of this pitman arm it says that it fits jeep boxes(irrelevant), and "2WD" chevy boxes. Well, my tahoe is a 4WD but from my understanding, the physical box is the same but the difference is in the output shaft for the pitman arm. No big deal right? just swap it out for a 2wd box and off we go. well, when I try looking for a 2WD box on summit, at the local part stores etc. it seems to be the same box regardless if its 2wd or 4wd. so my question is, Is the info I have currently, wrong and the pitman arm will fit the box regardless if its 2wd or 4wd? Or, am I just missing something completely?
Pictures for reference. yes, that's a threaded rod holding up the passenger knuckle, its just to get an idea of the steering angles.

Rockauto lists both the box and the pitman arm with the same numbers.
