i actually have a source for Brazilian parts and she speaks pretty decent English. I was quoted on headlights and taillights but they are not cheap! Many s10 owners have ordered from her with no issues.

Are they here, yet? Are they here yet? Are they here yet? Inquiring minds want to know!!!
I'm in the market for some headlights. Maybe 2 sets. The clear ebay pieces of poop on my blue truck are just that!
Going for a different look on my black truck, so the ones on it now need to go, too!
Are they here yet?

Hello everyone !
I apologize for English, I'm using an online translator.
I am from Brazil and I have a 1997 Silverado, MWM 4.2 turbo diesel engine.

The specifications in this booklet:

Unfortunately I start with the bad news.
Silverado Brazilian is NOT GMT400 !!

`It's just a" shell "on top of the 2nd Generation pickup chassis (1967-1972).

In Brazil car manufacturers often make these car salads.

In the case of GM in specific, it is believed that was to take advantage of the factories and stock, since this type of chassis is the same of the Chevrolet D20 1993-1996.

In this link you have photos of the cars and an advertisement with the chassis:

(did not check information, may have errors)

Despite having 21 years of road, it is a car that costs a lot of money.
It costs around 120 weeks of payment one with average state of conservation, one in excellent state costs around 230 weeks of payment. Making the calculation of how much time we have to work to buy, in direct conversion is very cheap for the US, 1 dollar worth almost 3.5 real

Mechanical parts have average value as it is an old platform. Finishing parts cost a lot and it's already been cheaper to buy parts in stores in the US than here. For notions of values, a pair of headlights of the brand ARTEB in which is what GM used costs around 3 weeks of payment.

A silverado a landmark in the automotive industry at the time, many child's consumer dream and today is initiating the status of collector car. It was the first pickup truck that offered comfort and ride car finish.

Feel free to ask whatever you want!
Soon I create a topic of my car.

welcome Klinger......

make an introduction in the "intro" thread, here: http://www.gmt400.com/forums/introduction.44/

does ARTEB still make these headlights new? i really wanted to find out how to get a set imported to me here. i know it would have cost me about $500US........but i never could find information on shipping here to me.

are those headlights made with glass lenses? can you post detailed pictures of the headlights?

come visit our headlight thread here: http://www.gmt400.com/threads/spyder-headlamps-my-take-on-em-and-lighting-in-general.36647/page-17

somewhere buried in there i began talking about the Arteb lights......i don't know where though, the thread got very long and i kept derailing it, LOL.

thanks, Bill

Page 17 of that headlight thread @shovelbill, you linked to it perfectly.

I'm also very interested in those Arteb headlights.
