Easy bolt on but can be an awkward angle for threading the nuts. 40 bucks from napa (none in 3 salvage yards I called). 30 minutes.

Old thread, I know, but just installed an ACDELCO 15-80739 (black 11 Blade Fan) with a Hayden 2784 fan clutch on my '90 K1500. Fits perfectly in the stock shroud and pulls noticeably more air than my stock steel 5 blade while making less noise. Should help the AC during our 115 deg Summer. Many thanks to previous posters for the mod.

What is the diameter of the ACDELCO 15-80739 ? I have a '89 C1500 and just want to make sure it fits before buying it... better safe than sorry, because I've been sorry too many times in the past...

I didnt measure, but will when I get home tonight. just stacked it on top of the 5-blade stock fan before installing as I was swapping out the clutch anyway and could return the 11-blade if it didnt fit. diameter was the same so I went with it. Only problem is that now I hear all kinds of new engine noises that were drowned out before the switch.

After seeing this thread a few weeks ago, I wanted to take a trip the pull-a-part. Well I found a 9 blade on a 2003 Tahoe the looked almost new, so I got it. Hope it helps with the AC at an idle in these hot south Louisiana summers. We will see. Its got to be better that the OE 5 blade. I installed it tonight, so time will tell.
