Hello i have a Chevy 1996 K1500 ...

I looking for upgrade my rear axle with a new differential cover..

You must be registered for see images attach


What is the type of my axle ?

You're right, my fault! I saw K1500 and just assumed 10 bolt without blowing the picture up and counting them.

No half tons ever got a 14 bolt from the factory did they? I'd assume someone swapped that in.

EDIT - Just checked car-part.com, apparently some K1500s did get the 14 bolt SF.

I figured that’s what happened.

I couldn’t tell you what came with what. I think RPO code F44 got you a 14 bolt sf in at least a few years. But I’m not up to date on that information.

I just updated my post about five seconds before you posted this. :lol: I checked car-part.com and it looks like some K1500s got the 14 bolt SF.

If you look at his out of focus leaf pack, it looks thicker than a 3+1. I counted what I think were 7 bolts on the bottom half.

The "name" of the axle is the numbre of bolt on the diff cover ? I have 14 bolts !

You talk of RPO code F44 .. what is that ?
