I might have misunderstood some other post.
Here is what i have, 1991 C1500 and going to C2500 Calipers. The C1500 rotors looked small (1" Wide). So i went to the store and got some C2500 (5 Lug) rotors (1.25" wide).
Got back to the shop and noticed the rotors had races in them but no bearings.

The C1500 has this.
Seal measuring 2" ID / 2.560" OD
Inner Bearing 1.25" ID / 2.330" OD
Outer Bearing 0.840" ID / 1.975" OD.

Measured the C2500 Rotor (F44 Option) and it has this.
Seal OD 2.560" (Same as C1500)
Inner Bearing 2.560" OD (cant find a inner with 1.25" ID)
Outer Bearing 1.972" OD (Same as C1500 Outer OD)

How did yall put C2500 Front brakes on the C1500?

Assuming from your 1" rotors you have the standard duty brake package. You need spindles, rotors, bearings from a C1500 with "HD" brakes, or from a C2500 light duty (same truck you spec'd the rotors from.) The standard duty brakes from the early years have spindles that are too short to use those rotors you bought.

After spending a hour at the parts store, that is exactly what I found out. Then they couldn't find the spindles in their system. So I just put the 2500 calipers on with original rotors and pads. Ended up having to put seals on the rotors tho. They were dry rotted. And I packed the bearings. So the front is good to go now!
Russel ss brake lines are on too.

Next I'm struggling with hydroboost parts I'll make another thread for...

Thanks for the clarification!

I realize this is an old thread ,,,,, so does JUST upgrading to 2500 Calipers using the original 1500 pads and 1500 rotors improve the braking on the 1500 trucks ?

For future readers of this thread: No, there's more to it than that... not much more, but more.
