Ah. I learned long ago to spin the converter constantly while tightening up the bellhousing bolts...

I seen that too. Ha. It hurts to watch.
Guy did a 6.0 heads cam swap in a 240 with a expensive 4L60E. He was gonna to try and warm it up. He forgot to put ATF in it..... had to take it out and ship it back so they could check it out and fix anything so the warranty would be good.

Are these new wires?
Or the old ones straitened out like that?
I’m pondering buying all new wire for my build but wanted to know if anyone had a ball park of how much one should use

Thats the wires in the harness after you remove the loom and all the tape

Hmm not bad they look better than I thought they would
Seems the loom does a fair job at protecting them

Subscribing. The wiring doesn't scare me, but figuring out what needs to be retained from the donor and my 95 is baffling.

Alright guys so I finally got the trans back together and reinstalled. I finished up the modified Y pipe last night. I used the flanged from the 2001 Y pipe and adjusted them to fit the 95 Y pipe. Going to be finishing up the wiring tomorrow and hopefully turning the motor on for the first time. Once I get it on the road and have drivin it for a week I plan to go back through and start removing the TBI engine wiring. Hope to have an update for you all tomorrow!

Okay guys so big update! I got the Y pipe all sorted and ran into issues with shifting right away. First off the fitech needs to see speed to be able to shift so I tapped into the stock speed sensor wires. THE BIG THING HERE IF YOU GO THIS ROUTE IS TO KEEP IN MIND ON THE LS HARNESS THE COLORS ARE FLIPPED COMPARED TO STOCK. Once I got that sorted out I figured it would shift but wrong. There is a second part in the computer that you need to specify after you tell it that is a 4l6Xe if its a 60 65 or 70. If you don't it will not shift. I have done a little driving already. Put about 15 miles on it and I am super pumped with the throttle response and cruising RPM already. I have a buddy coming over to do some fine tuning on the transmission. I will probably try and get it out on the highway tomorrow and see how it goes. I still need to steal the cruise control cable off the donor truck and cruise will be working. I will try and get some pics up tomorrow and possibly some videos. Overall though I am super geeked on the setup.
