That'd be a nice way to do it. Then, you could overhaul the old 454, and sell it, probably damn near break even on it all.
That's what I was thinking, if I at least did a stock rebuild on the old 454, just get all the clearances back to factory measurements and whatnot I could clear right around 3K on it; which would cover the cam swap and everything involved in that.
Pricing out camshafts and stuff has really got me thinking too, just do a basic rebuild with some upgraded pistons, a port and polish, and just do the basics for the cam; a Comp XR264HR (01-411-08), pushrods (which one was the better size?), adjustable rocker arm retrofit, new springs, and probably 1.72 roller rockers if they'll fit.
Anything I left out? And with the tune, what HP/TQ range would I be at?
