If the ‘low’ setting on my HVAC does not work at all but all other settings (mid-low through high) do, would that be an electronic problem or a blower motor problem? It’s a 1993 that sat for about 9 months. The blower motor itself is pretty loud, going to replace it anyways but I’m kind of curious.

Most likely the blower motor resistor, BUT likely caused by the elderly blower motor. As they age and start to drag it puts more strain on the resistor causing it to heat up. Low setting most likely burns out first. A new resistor will likely work for a while but ultimately you will need the motor. I'm facing that one myself. Good luck !

Ah I understand. Where is the resistor itself located? If it’s cheap and easy enough might as well do that too.

Right behind the glove box sort of "on top" of the blower housing. Mine is a '93 so yours may be somewhat different. Not too hard to change but enough to be a pain. Definitely plan to get it done when you do the blower motor. You only want to pull it apart once. I did the resistor in mine only to hear the motor whining at low speed. I hope to get the motor done before I burn out the new resistor.

Where do you guys ground an aftermarket radio in 95-98 interior? I don't see anything metal in there.

You splice the aftermarket adapter into the harness that plugs into the factory radio. It is color coded and you have to match wires. Presumably one of those is a ground. All I know is that I plugged it in and all the speaker lines worked and the radio powered right up. If you didn't have a working radio previously be aware that all 4 speakers are likely shot. All mine were, not a peep from any of them. Replace the speakers when you add the new radio and you should be in good shape. Sure is nice to have bluetooth speakerphone in an old truck.

Ground is in the harness, I don't remember which color but like you said they are labeled

And I agree on the Bluetooth; I bought my girlfriend a Bluetooth/hands free radio for her birthday and put it in her Tahoe, She loves it.
Almost makes me want to put one in my truck, but I like my Kenwood head unit too much to take it out.
Still have yet to do speakers in her truck; I did mine same time I did the radio and haven't regretted it one bit.

Brody, if you have a Kenwood head unit you can just swap it out. Mine is a Kenwood. You can just pull the old one and plug the harness right into the new one. It would be about a 5 minute job and you likely could sell the old one for some of the difference.
