Thanks for all the info guys. I'll probably install the 4600 and eventually try out halfton bars when I find a pair. If I remember I'll try and post an update on here when I get around to it.
I haven't, but correct me if I'm wrong it sounds like the 4600 was a factory option or atleast rides similar to factory. And the k1500s I have ridden in, with factory shocks seem to ride much better then my light duty k2500. So I guess I just assumed the difference in ride quality was the...
So in theory would replacing the torsion bars with 6GG/7GG, and replacing the factory shocks with the bilestein 4600. Improve the ride quality enough to make it worth the work?
So I have a k2500 light duty (6 lug), and it seems to ride rougher then a standard k1500. I don't tow much other then small boat trailers, and it has a 305 for engine. Would there be any harm in swapping in new torsion bars from a k1500 sense I've heard the light duty 6 lugs have pretty much the...
Thanks for the replies guys! Right now I'm just daily driving my truck so I will keep the 4l60e but eventually I want to get another obs and use this one as my offroad/hunting rig, so I like the idea of a manual for reliability. My tbi350 will be making stock power.
So I have a 1994 k2500 light duty with a tbi 305 and 4l60e, and I eventually want to swap to a 350 but haven't decided on what tranny to do. So I was wondering what are my best options? I don't want anything crazy hard but I don't care if it's manual or auto.
