another dumb idea after some searches - injectors??? found some other sites saying the GM's leak and cause this same issue.

just check pressure today key on - 50psi, then drops to 5psi only seconds after... running - 50psi +/-5 when revving it key off - 5psi Could this be the pressure regulator?

might sound dumb, but fuel pump? I know you said your pressure seems to be fine - but mine seem to be making more noice then I expect.

Mines doing the same - its a 2000 with only 95,000 miles Haven't dug into mine yet - thought it would be the fuel pump or fuel filter. Keep us posted on what else you find.
