    thanks for the reply...there are 2 stickers in the glove box...one is for camper information and the other is for parts identification...the parts identification one has alot numbers ( different codes )...what would the code be for non gov-lock rear end...how many kinds are there...and as a side...

    hi all...i have a 89 gmc sierra c2500 2wd and i'm trying to learn if the rear end is limited slip or something else...it has a 14 bolt cover plate and there's a casting on the side that reads cfo 9690...i don't see a tag on it and the information on the inside of my door is mainly missing...thanks

    hi...thanks for the great information...i took the cover off and i saw what looked like 2 modulers with a number of wires coming out of each...the one on the right has 4 or 5 wires and one of them is tan with a black stripe...i then noticed to the right a large wire loom that still gets covered...

    hi i'm new to timing my 1989 gmc sierra 5.7 litre tbi...the manual doesn't specify for my year what to do...what i mean is that they mention other years and displacements and then proceed to explain what to do...i don't know if that applies to my year...it says to bypass the electronic spark...
