GM Tech2 Clone Experience?

I work at a GM dealer, one of the other techs in our shop has one of those. He said it will do everything our genuine Tech2 will do. I've used it a few times. Exactly like the shops, only at a fraction of the price, came with all adapters and the case, can't tell the two apart really. I'm...

I checked the balancer numerous times and only one timing mark. Did that. Set to spec and runs terrible. Still not sure what's going on. Not sure if my dizzy is going bad or what. A visual inspection shows that nothing is wrong with it. -Pat

Haven't updated this thread in a while. Having a strange issue, did intake gaskets on the truck. I set the engine to TDC before I removed the distributor, noticed the timing was advanced. Replaced intake gaskets. Dropped dizzy back it how it was. Started engine. Ran good. Disconnected 'set...

A GM dealer in Northern Minnesota. Suspension and steering technician mostly. Along with brakes and some drivetrain and a little bit of everything else, besides bodywork. This was right before we moved into our new facility. . . Where we came from. . . -Pat
