    Timbren front Bump stops?

Has anyone run timbren front bump stops without a plow? I've got a custom made steel bumper on the front of my k1500 burb that weighs about 150lbs and cranked up the T-bars to get ride height back to stock height, but now the ride is kinda harsh and crappy (even w/ fresh front end rebuild and...

Installing GMT900 rear Cab mounts in a GMT400

I've been intrigued by the S&B silicone mounts since the Ford super duty owners really seem to like them. I did see on a forum somewhere (cannot find it now) that on the Chevys they are actually a little harsher than stock. If you go down that road, please let us know how it goes!

Installing GMT900 rear Cab mounts in a GMT400

On my 99' suburban I replaced the body mounts that are about under the front doors w/ the GMT900 rear cab mounts and I think it made the ride worse. My body mounts look ok, but after 270k I'm assuming they are shot. In an effort to get back some ride quality I rebuilt the front suspension...

Thinking about getting a redhead steering box. ratio question.

https://www.gmt400.com/threads/quick-ratio-steering-box-upgrades.24878/ Red head makes a soild box. I've put them in 2 different trucks and been happy with both.

    Mesh grille?

Are you thinking black or chrome? Ive thought about this and plan to make my own in black with extruded metal mesh, similar to this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Grille-Inse...ash=item33bcc7d054:g:F34AAOSwCfdXpOIM&vxp=mtr I haven't found the right mesh yet, but I imagine it will cost less than $50

Front coilovers on 98 k2500 suburban

I'm really stoked to see where you are going to go with this. I've been wanting to do the same thing on my truck but I know very little about suspension. I would imagine the forged LCA has the strength, but the top shock mount needs to go and the frame needs some more support. Have you...

Options to replace or upgrade torsion bars? Worth it?

So I am about to do all of the front end bushings, shocks, and ball joints on my k1500 suburban. Since the lower control arm bushings are on that list I was thinking It would be the prefect time to replace or upgrade the original torsion bars. With 245k miles on them I would assume that they...

    Front Bump Stops?

I believe the bump stops from the 1999-2000 z71 Tahoe's are shorter. Don't know the exact part number though. As for longer shocks that would definately help as well, but running cranked t-bars is always gonna ride like crap.

Misfire after warm / hot restart??

well I did some more testing and was able to find that I had an 02 sensor that was not responding correctly. I did end up replacing all of them and in the last 500 miles no codes have shown up so I believe that fixed the problem. There is a good chance that these are the original sensors with...

    swap/upgrades to front calipers

any more info or write ups on this? What 4 piston calipers and big rotors can you use? Ive heard that the front knuckle swap from a hummer h3 can be done and gives big brakes for relatively cheap but have not seen this done.

    swap/upgrades to front calipers

The ive tried 2500 pads on a 1500 rotor and it did not work, the backing plate for the pad is larger and rubbed against the hat of the rotor. This was all on a 4wd 1500 suburban w/ 1ton calipers.

    LB7 into an GMT400?

Ive thoroughly researched this. A Duramax gmt400 suburban would be so F!@#ing cool. I only know of 1 in existance. It can totally be done, but it will take time and skill to do it right. You will pretty much need a wrecked truck to be a donor since there are a lot of parts involved. I...

Misfire after warm / hot restart??

1999 suburban 5.7 w/ 250k and an odd misfire problem. Starts up great and runs beautifully for 10, 20, 200 miles no problem. As soon as the motor is shut down and restarted the engine runs rough and misfires (typically cyl5). Scan tool reveals nothing remarkable on initial drive, but after...
