Has anyone used an external fuel pump with a fuel cell?

I have been searching for a build thread or anything on an install of an external fuel pump on a fuel cell for a Vortec 350. I have a bagged '99 Sub and so far, I have found out (as far as the factory wiring in the fuel pump/level sender goes) the purple and white wire is for the fuel gauge...

Bagged OBS Suburban toe and camber questions.
