Hmm. I guess the only way to get louder is to remove the cats? Cause I cut right before the muffler and it sounds ok but still wish it was s little louder or had that deeper tone. We will see how it sounds this Comming week when I recieve the glasspack -

Another Exhaust Question
Have a questions folks, my stock muffler finally rusted off so I got a 27 inch glasspack, should I expect it to get louder? I have a 92 gmc 1500 extended cab Z71 5spd. I'm running no muffler now till I get the glasspack and its really not that loud. Would adding the pack make some noise? -

tires for stock rims
I meant will a 285/75/16 fit good on a stock height stock rim truck? I plan to lift 9 inches but that won't be for awhile. So since I need new rubber now would the 285 be good? I'm new to the whole off road scene and wheels and tires. I still want to be be able to flex a little but be taller...- stevesZ71

sorry to bring up such an old thread but I just bought a 92 gmcZ71 I plan on putting rcx 6 inch and 3 BL but i need new tires sooner than i plan on doing these mods so i was curious to see how big and wide can i go on a stock rim with out the lift OR cutting. would a 285/75/16 be my limit? sorry...- stevesZ71
