The transmission is out in my 96 c1500 and a local guy on craigslist has a good deal on a supposedly rebuilt trans out of his 96 k1500.
Can I do it?

Installed the "2 inch" lift shackles in the rear over the weekend and removed the 2 inch drop shackles that have been on the truck for 20 years.

The truck sat fairly level before. Ground to lower center on the front fender measures about 32-1/4" and the rear was about 33"...

I've already got 2" lift shackles coming, and I hope they work out ok. I'm the 2nd owner and the previous owner had put 2" drop shackles in the rear. So I don't know if I'll need the other .5" of lift to make it level. But from what I've seen a lot of...

What brand of rear spacer did you use?
Wheel spacers.com says a 2" spacer adds 4" of overall width. Which seems like alot to me, but I guess that's necessary seeing as the front will gain width with the spindles.

Been lurking for awhile and between a dead transmission and this thread I've decided to do the 4" lift on my '96 that I've kept stock for the 14 years I've had it. So i'm going all out...
Long story short, my biggest concern at the moment is wheel spacing...
