    Ive used cheap "303" hydraulic fluid in a ton of TH400s and Powerglides. It works plus it can tighten up the torque converter some too. AW46 works good as well as the low vis John Deer Hyguard. Some of these 1600hp turbo trucks running 4L80's with a fixed pressure and transbrake last longer...

    The first time i let it idle about a couple hours. The next time was about an hour. I used EFI Live to raise the idle to 1500rpms and just let it do its thing.

    ATF cleans very good. When bought my wife her 08 tahoe it had the lifter tick. So i drained the oil and put 4 quarts of ATF in it. Let it idle for a couple hours at 1500 rpms.     I'd get some cheap oil and a good filter (wix 51522 fits that truck) and just change it every couple thousand miles a few times and go back to a normal oil change interval
