    HID/LED conversion

LEDs will function in any housing, so long as the input and output are wired correctly, but the light will not cast correctly because the bulbs output light in a very different manner. You also seem to be confused as to why the low beams are HID and the lows are halogen. This is because HIDs...

    SES light no codes

If C is for ABS, would it trip SES light or ABS light, maybe both? Just curious, never ran into an ABS code on my 97. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    '97 Silverado Alternator Replacement

Purchased mine at Summit. Drop in replacement if you're looking for more power, can't recommend it enough. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    Distributor replace/align

Ok... weird thought here. I wonder if your harmonic balancer has failed. That would cause your timing mark to be off, and cause issues with timing resulting in weird bouts of running lean and rich, as your plugs are indicating. I'd verify the cylinder is at TDC when the timing mark says it...

How did you verify TDC? Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    Distributor replace/align

Correct. Make sure to take into account that the rotor will rotate as the distributor gear meshes with the cam, when meshed and the distributor is all the way in, the rotor should be at the number 1 cylinder. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    Distributor replace/align

Initial timing should get set with the engine off, cylinder one TDC entering the power stroke, distributor rotor pointing at cylinder 1. This can be done with the EST plugged or unplugged, however when you run the engine and use the timing light, you'll want the EST unplugged, line on the...

    Distributor replace/align

Did you test multiple cylinders for spark, or just 1? Is the cylinder you tested running black and/or wet with fuel? Could just be a bad rotor and/or cap. Either way, probably won't need to replace entire distributor. You'll also want to be checking the timing with the spark advance wire...

    Built tbi vs ls swap

My understanding is that the 95 is a 4l60e, prior to that they were all just regular old 700r4's. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though, worth further research for sure. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    Built tbi vs ls swap

The 4l60e came in 5.3l LS powered light duties, so you don't need to swap transmissions for what you're looking for unless your current transmission is going out. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk

    Built tbi vs ls swap

Stutaeng is right to a point, he might have been typing his response before you put the HP and torque numbers you were looking for. Shurkey is also right, the TBI to 5.3l won't give you much for the work you're generating for yourself. Not a direct comparison, but my virtually stock vortec 5.7l...

    Serpentine belt problem

Pull the belt, should see signs of belt slippage on the pulley where it rubbed the anodizing off. You should also hear it get better if you spray the bearing with some lubricant. Don't use WD40, or you may cause failure in a bearing that hasn't failed yet. Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk
