    I replaced the switch. Its the drivers door switch that is the master. I changed both. I even put in a new BCM because I had wipers and stereo that was cutting out. That fixed that, but not the locks.

    It could be your passlock module or passlock sensor in the column. Just had mine fixed by the dealer. You can do the relearn to get the track going again. But the problem will likely come back. The dealer put in a new passlock sensor for me and I havent had the problem in over a year. 1...

    '98 K2500 surging at idle, can't figure it out

    I did check fuel pressure. It is good. No issues. Reverse doesnt affect my idle. Its usually after I drove for a bit and it does it in park. Also has to be hot out. All winter it doesnt rev at idle.

    Hello. Ive been having this ongoing issue. My doors will lock and unlock with the key fob. The doors will also UNLOCK with the door switches. But they will NOT LOCK with the door switches. I'm at a loss????

    Thanks Tomb. I have been busy. Havent had time to scan. My idle is about 550-600. Plugs huh?? I need to look at what the previous owner put in it. Have all the receipts. A lot of things where serviced. I will try and get some reports this weekend.

    I can only get it to surge if it is really hot out and I have drove for 20 min or more. It will just have a rough idle normally. Should I first disconnect the IAC and drive for a bit and see what happens??

    I have a scanner. Mac Tools ET 97. I will have to look and see what it is capable of doing. Plugs are new. not sure the brand.

    I'm still at a loss. Its been cooler out so the idle has been a bit rough still. But yesterday it was hot out 88 deg F out. And the surging at idle was happening a lot.

    I changed the cap saturday night. No difference. Still idles rough with the odd surge sometimes. Drives perfect though. Problem is ONLY at idle. I ordered wires and coil from rock auto. We will see what that does when they come in.

    Even searching I'm finding all different answers. On a good note you guys have all been a great help. Much appreciated. Ive posted these issues on other forums and not one person has answered. I got my Dist cap today so going to put it on this weekend and see.

    Funny you say I actually did that a few days ago. I was getting about 56-58 psi. I have the upgraded injectors as well.

    Great! Thanks for the info guys. I will be going out to get a cap after work. I will let you know how it goes! I cleaned the MAF the other day. Didnt do much.
