Axle under the leaf spring always has the tendacy to wrap on hard acceleration. Axle above not so much.
I was at a drag strip where a full size truck had a set of 3" lift springs and an axle flip kit installed. Even with 500+ hp there was very little leaf oscillation.

Cutting the coil increases to spring rate and leads to a much harsher ride. Pair that with OE length shocks compressed into their control zone.
Don't cut your coils, use lowering steering knuckles. Your kidneys and your colon will thank you.

Yes. The exhaust ports in the head, bolt spread, and temp sensor location are identical to the TBI head.
On a side note, the Vortec heads also will bolt up but the EGR will be NF.
