temp gauge is all over the place, please HELP!!!!

No new progress to report. I am chalking it up to the gauge. There are no leaks of any kind. All the related parts have been replaced with brand new. I got a laser temp gauge and it all checks out there as well. So for the time being, I am going to let it be. Thanks to all that tried to help.

Hi again fellas, thanks for all the help. The issue is still not resolved. New thermostat, new coolant gauge sender, new coolant temp sensor and new thermostat. All fluids are topped off and bled. Could it actually be the gauge itself? I have never had an issue with gauges on any chevy I...

Fail Safe thermostat on 90 RCSB

So as some of you know, I recently replaced my radiator and thermostat on my truck. I put in a Fail Safe thermostat thinking I was doing a good thing. Everything seemed good for a day or so, but then I noticed that the temp would rise almost to overheating and then drop to just over 100...

Rplaced the radiator and thermostat. Had a bolt sheer in the manifold and eventually drilled it and tapped it for a heli coil. Filled it up with coolant and everything is good to go. No leaks and constant hot air. Thanks for all the advice.

How to Replace Blower Motor Resistor

D the radiator today. $130 from autozone. Then went to do the thermostat and one of the bolts broke in the manifold. DAMN! I drilled the bolt and went at it with an easy out, but then the easy out sheered off as well. WTF?! Spent hours trying to drill the easy out with very little success...
