Well pedal bushing made it better for a about 20 pushes of the clutch then it popped again. Clip is not broken but it keeps popping off the pedal and back to squeaking and stiff pedal. Assuming the slave and or master is going and getting too much for the clip to handle pushing?
Bushing helped mine a bit, it was squeaking like crazy when you pushed the pedal all the way down and when it was released pedal had lots of free play as well. This also seemed to increase the amount of force required to fully depress the clutch and it seems a bit better with the new bushing...
I had one in my 03 S10 regular cab and it was hard to deal with on a day to day basis. Later I got one for the 01 S10 extended cab I had and with being able to tilt the seat back just a bit more it was fine. They are nice to have if you can deal with it though, holds lots of little crap that...
What way is your 60/40? 40 drivers and 60 passenger? That is how my 94 was and I got buckets from a 99 Tahoe and installed them. Drilled 2 holes on passenger side for inboard track, driver side I used my manual track for now until I make a wire harness for power one. Really easy, my girlfriend...
I started working on this truck again and really want reverse lights to work. I ended up jumping the 2 wires from the screw in reverse light switch on the trans. (5 speed stick) and lights come on. SO, this tells me wiring and bulbs are fine and just leaves the switch or whatever makes the...
With you saying "Don't run yourself over" must mean we have met before LOL!!! On my own vehicles anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Will check it out tomorrow in the daylight thanks much!!!
Trying to get reverse lights working on my 94 K1500 5 speed and not getting anywhere. I replaced the reverse light switch on the transmission and both bulbs in the tail lights and the fuse for the Turn Signal/BU lamps looks good. Anyone have diagram for this circuit so I can get them working?
Has anyone else experienced a failure or any other safety issue by using a used shaft? I can get one at the yard for around $8 and my flex joint close to the firewall is loose and sloppy and the rag joint isn't far behind and I am trying to fix this truck up on a budget if I can. My truck is...
OK got it on the lift today and seemed to have solved the problem. The trans mount was wasted and had about 3/4" of play in it and when I used the tall jackstand to push the trans up about 3/8" the grease fitting on the front driveshaft started banging against the shifter for transfer case when...
Well that was my thought too but I am wondering if the combination of a bad trans mount and slow to retract front actuator causes the driveshaft to continue to turn for a bit in 2wd and it moves just enough from play in trans mount to make slight contact with transfer case shifter in 2wd. The...
I crawled under this today it appears that the grease fitting for the front driveshaft where it telescopes is hitting the bottom of the transfer case shift lever ever so slightly. Saw the very tip of the fitting and the bottom edge in a spot on bottom of transfer case shifter that lines with the...
By neutral I mean the transmission NOT the t-case sorry. I should also clarify that this noise occurs after driving truck even 25 or so feet on dry pavement or a foot of snow. The way my neighborhood gets plowed I NEED to go into 4wd to get out of my driveway or parking spot to the street. At...
