    2000 GMC K2500 resto/cummins

I'm in the process of doing my cummins swap homework (so I'm following this thread closely) and found a couple guidelines for serpentine setups. One, you should try to have at least 1/3 of the accessory pulley wrapped by the belt. This wouldn't apply to idlers or tensioners since they're not...

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Did you wire the mirror cameras to be able to turn on without being in reverse? If you did, what are you using for a switch?

    GMT400 Parts (Junkyard Stuff)

I'm looking for a dual alternator plate from a 97 or newer 6.5td. I think it was more common on the cab and chassis trucks to run utility bodies, ambulances and buckets and such.

    No DRLs

Very informative video. I didn't think to check the diode under load. We'll see what happens with that test.

    No DRLs

DRL indicator turns on when I start the truck, stays on when the parking lamps are on, and turns off when the headlights are turned on. I don't suspect the diode since I have power to the DRL relay from the diode.

    No DRLs

The DRLs don't work on my suburban and I'd like to have the circuit functional for a switchback mod I want to try. I've traced power up to the forward lamp harness connector and I have power from the DRL relay, but not to the low beam lamps. When I turn the headlights on, I have power at the...

    Rare paint codes

Not a ccsb but I had an eclb and now have a suburban with the same two tone. Both 2500 diesels

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

From another 6.5L Suburban owner, nice find. Couldn't help but notice the projector retrofit on the dually. I know there's a bunch of write ups out there on retrofits, but knowing your work I was just wondering if you did anything different to mount/seal the projectors.

Updated: Cab lights, harness, and factory GM LEDs

Would you sell the LEDs separately? PM me if you'd like to.

I love it when folks post these kind of questions..........

This link is floating around here somewhere, I can't remember where since I bookmarked it. http://www.diakom.ru/CAR/GMC/1997/Pickup%20K1500/SYSTEM%20WIRING%20DIAGRAMS/ Check out the Exterior Lamps Circuit for the brake lights. If you have access to a DMM, trace the circuit to where you lose...

Euro Amber Corners for 94+ Chevy

My bad if I'm jacking this thread, but are you selling any of the 94+ GMC euro amber corners? And not to completely jack the thread, I did find this link. But I can't justify $70 for corner lights. http://www.topgearautosport.com/part/A101VQ8D107/1998_Chevy_Silverado_Amber_Smoked_Corner_Lights.html

    2015 Style Tow Mirrors

97PROSHOZ71, any way you can post a few pictures of the switchbacks on the truck? I've been thinking of doing something similar to my front park/signal lights, but making the white leds act as drl instead of parking lights. Thanks

Installing a leer cap on a stepside

There's holes at the bottom of the stake pockets. I drilled a hole in the rail of the cap to run an eye bolt down through the hole in the pocket. But the other day I happened to be looking through a box of parts for something unrelated and came across a set of clamps I must have got with the...

Installing a leer cap on a stepside

I don't have any part numbers for the clamps but I do have an option. When I had my stepside with a cap, I used eye bolts through the stake pockets to hold the cap down. No drilling through the bed, just through the rail on the cap. It held the cap nicely and gave me a few tie down points.
