I verified the wiring and connections are good. I can manually activate the switch by pushing it against the brake pedal pin. It almost seems as if the brake pedal is not able to press on the switch hard enough to activate it.
Replaced with a new brake switch, still no brake lights and i am not able to shift out of park when the switch is clipped into the push rods. Any ideas??

I am experiencing this same issue. I replaced my hydro boost unit and replaced the brake light switch. When I clip it onto the push rod, the switch does not work. When I don’t have it clipped onto the push rod, it’ll work sometimes. Did you ever figure out your issue?
