Updating Silverado Badges
I like this idea. I have a new roll of moulding to put on mine once I'm done with an upcoming repaint, and was wondering what I was going to do about the 1500 badging. 1/2-ton to 3/4-ton...same spring width?
Mine has spent most of its life in the midwest, Ohio and WV to be specific, so it wasn't unrealistic to expect that to happen. Even when I wash off the underside after driving it in road salt conditions, it easily could have gotten inside there and corroded like that over the course of 20+...- LoneCynic

As another poster mentioned before me, they will indeed bolt right up. I did this exact swap on my K1500. They called and said it was done on Friday, but I was attending an event on the other side of town and couldn't get back before they closed. Left turn signal/brake light intermittently works????
Turns out mine was the old "bulb grease" in the sockets was caked up and hardened and blocking the signal. I took out the wiring harness first, and checked all the wires with a multi-meter, and found no faults.
