    Exhaust for obs LS swap?

I have $150 in the entire exhaust. The cheapest quote I got for a full exhaust was $350, and that wasn't me buying the catalytic converters. No inspection in Alabama, so I just did it in my driveway.

    LS swap on the track

I recently had a chance to run my truck, on an eighth mile strip. It was a flag start, so no time slips. Also my first time on a drag strip. My GPS speedometer showed 79 at the top end. I guess that's ok. I had a lot of fun. Truk is running a stock 5.3, 4L60, and 342 gears. At the time I was...

    88 SportsideLS swap daily driver

Been driving Truk, upgraded wheels and tire. 17x8, 255/60 front, 17x9.5, 275/60 rear. Before I swapped wheels took Truk down the drag strip. Flag start, according to GPS app, my best pass was 79 mph in the eighth

    Exhaust for obs LS swap?

I have a stock 5.3, with stock manifolds. I used about 4" of the OE exhaust off the manifold, for the flanges and O2 bungs. The rest is 2.5 pipe, curved pieces from the scrap bin at an exhaust shop, off a 2010 Camaro. The straight sections are from the parts store. Two Dynomax race bullets.

    Newb from North Alabama

Thanks. I get that a lot. I never set out to build a sleeper. I just don't like a lot of badges. I've been through Louisiana once, it's pretty down there as well.

    88 SportsideLS swap daily driver

Lost 3rd and 4th in the 4L60. Everyone has suggested a 80, however for my goals it's not needed. I have a friend helping me with the trans work.

    Shackle flip using stock hanger

I have a lowered 88 C1500. Currently I have dropped hangers, and shackles to lower the rear 4". I want a 6" drop with an axle flip. If I flip the axle with the dropped hangers, I'd be at a 8" drop, not what I want. I do not want to spend the money on new hangers, or remove stock ones off a junk...

4/6 lower need to back up axle?

Setting the axle back an inch is also keeps the driveshaft from bottoming out in the trans.

88 to 94 grill swap one high beam

I hit a deer in my 88, and got my donor parts off a 94 Suburban. I went from 4 sealed beam lights, to composite lights. When I pulled the clip off the Sub, I got the head light harness as well. It plugged into the firewall plug, and all the lights, except the driver's side high beam work. As far...

My old 90 dropped 6". Same truck in all pics, I was experimenting with wheels and bumpers.

    91 c1500 Going 2" Lower Up Front

I did a 6" front drop, with 2" spindles and 2" springs. I cut a coil from the springs, probably not the best method but it rode ok. If I were to do it again, I'd use bolt in coilovers. Or, you could go crazy and z the frame 2".
