    Am I underpowered?

I have an Eaton true track in my 97, with 373s. Thing is, I'm running 275/60/15 tires. The 373s on that OE, or close to the same high as OE tires are grate. You could always sale you 373s. As for the posi, you should be able to just swap the gear set. If you don't know how to do the rear end...

As mentioned, it's your tire size, with the rear end gearing that is holding you back. With 35s, you need 456, or 488 gears.

L T headers, and heat soaked starter.

Yes, exactly. Life time warranty. Just fire up the new starter. It works grate. Just have to put the heat shield back on, over it. The new starter sounds totally different. Listing to it, compared to the old ones, is night and day. The old one was definitely on its last leg. Also with the new...

Ok, I got a starter from AutoZone, BC they were the only one, who had one in stock. The manual starter cone, or tip, is smaller, and made of steel, or cast iron, not aluminum. Also as I mentioned, the bolt holes are recessed, for shorter bolts.

The manual starters have shorter bolts. About 1 inch shorter. The hole that the bolt goes into on the starter is not flush with the starter on both sides on a manual transmission starter. It is recessed on the side, where the bolt head is. IDK why just yet, but I'm going to figure it out today...

L T headers, and heat soaked starter.

Well, I guess I'm m not going to the JY tomorrow. I didn't realize that there is a different between a starter for an automatic transmission, and a manual transmission. I have a 4 speed manual in the Vette. All of the mini starters I have looked at, have some bad reviews and almost all of them...

L T headers, and heat soaked starter.

Today, I traced the battery cable back from the starter, to the battery. Yes, I understand that there is no way to look inside of the wires, rubber shielding to see exactly what shape it's in, but after 42 years of dealing with welding leads, most of the time, a bad cable, will be swollen where...

L T headers, and heat soaked starter.

Heat soak issues. So the car spins a little slow, but starts fine, when the engine is cold. Example. Monday, I went to a store, that sales lunch plates. Grate food, and inexpensive too. Car was cold, when I left in it. Let it warm up to 160+ and go into open loop, as Holley says to do, with the...

Yes, it's a staggered starter. Just installed the heat blanket. That didn't help. Guess I'm replacing the starter. As for the HEI, that's long gone. It has the Holley sniper set up, with the Holley hyperspark distributor. All controlled by the sniper system.

15° BTDC. That's where Holley says it need to be, for the sniper system. I spent some time on the phone yet with there tech department. We went through some idle issues and did some resetting on the system. Car is starting good, when it's cold. Going wrap the starter rite now.
