I have been working on cars since I was 16, My truck broke down, and i couldnt afford a mechanic, but the water pump was only $20 and I had a lot more time than I had money. And here I am, 10 years later, Refusing to pay mechanics because time is still easier to come by than money.. even if it costs some sleep every once in-awhile.

Buying broken cars, fixing them, breaking them and repeating until I find a different one.
