Maybe .50%! I happened to have a used one laying around that I used for now, but ordered 2 new ones to have on hand since they're cheap.

I've had the truck running for a little bit now, but am still working on some finishing touches. I got all of the fuel system plumbing done but have been fighting to get the pressure low enough for the carb. The bypass regulator I got was supposed to drop the pressure to as low as 3psi, however...

Got nearly everything just about finished up except for those 2 fuel fittings which i'm still waiting for, but close enough to dump some gas down the vent tubes to hear it fire! It ran long enough to see that all of the factory gauges still work. It was actually very simple to get the original...

Almost there! Still waiting for a couple of fuel line fittings for the bypass regulator, (went with some AN adapters to keep everything fairly nice looking), but got the intake, carb, distributor, and belt setup all on place. I did forget to add a couple of small things to my list but most has...

I did, and also reused the timing chain cover with sensor but I am not familiar enough with these ECUs to know if thats all it would need for a signal or not.

Got a majority of the big stuff done today, I ended up having to return the intake manifold I ordered and the replacement should arrive Monday. Besides that, the biggest thing left is to figure out how I want to do the wiring and tidy it up since most won't be needed. The only pieces I will need...

Finally took a day to get the long block back together and stabbed back in. I've been curious about the full length headers I bought because they said they fit K2500s up to 1994 only. They are Hooker Competition Headers part #2461HKR. They fit with very little issue, the driver's side slid in...

Finally picked up the heads today, and discovered what the issue was. The valve on that cylinder with the issue was tuliped and very obviously mishapen compared to the others. The other was slightly bent and was replaced. Time for reassembly!

I think you're right, it looked familiar but couldn't place it. Wonder how it ended up there!

Honed the cylinders today, they turned out great. Also cleaned up the pistons got all of the rings swapped. Not sure how common this is on these big blocks but almost every 1st and 2nd piston ring broke as I removed them, even when trying to be careful, not that it mattered. I would guess maybe...

Out of that entire head, the one on the end with the ziptie was the only one that was down, and looked a little crooked. All of the others were up, so just basing my assumption off of that.

Got the heads sent out the other day to get redone, before dropping them off I looked a little closer at the cylinder with the weird intermittent compression issue and do see something off, the seals are in different positions inside the springs. I didn't go any further but I would imagine maybe...

Yes, for the short block at least. I am having the heads gone over as well and decided to swap the fuel injection for a carb setup. I will also be replacing some other things while it's out as preventative maintenance to try and make sure it will be as reliable as possible.

Started the engine overhaul process today. I got it pulled and completely dissassembled, the only thing still in is the crank which I don't have a reason to pull. I discovered a random bent pushrod in the lifter valley, must have been some sort of issue before I bought it and they didn't feel...

So I can't remember if I had mentioned this before but about 2 years ago I randomly lost a little clutch fluid which caused the pedal to be a bit spongy. I found the fluid level to be a little low, topped it off and it was fine for a while. Several months later it happened again. I looked all...
