    Daily truck pics

The owner of the shop that works on my truck gave me some great advice, "If someone asks what you'd sell it for, don't even give them some crazy number if you're not serious about selling. Someone with enough money is just liable to pay it." :33:

    Daily truck pics

Remember, that's an asking price and I'm sure there can be a little haggling. I judge a truck now by looking at the underside. That one is almost pristine. No undercoating ever to hide anything. Like @BonestockK1500 said, try to find another one with this mileage and condition. I know it...

I’m a DA…what maintenance have you screwed up?

I don't do the maintenance on my wife's '16 Camry, but took it to the Toyota dealership instead. UNTIL, my wife took it in for a tire rotation and fluid check only. She called me a day later with the car boiling smoke and I told her to go immediately back. Come to find out the oil was "topped...

    1994 K1500 ECSB "The G Wagon"

Like many of you, I’ve been watching @98BlackSierra ’s build and saw his recent post about his rims. That reminded me I had two more to work on. Maybe this will help you. Oxidation over the years had played a toll. The first two I did on the truck, but this time I pulled the tire/rim (I’d...

    LMC wheelwell moldings?

LMC trim didn’t line up at all with OEM. I had to drill new holes for the LMC trim. Taped it place with painter’s tape and marked the new holes with a sharpie before drilling.

    LMC wheelwell moldings?

I’ve seen that one as well. I believe that’s a flared type molding from the looks and not an OEM look. Some like it, some not. My dad has that style on his Ferd.

    LMC wheelwell moldings?

I have. They are a little less sturdy than the OEM trim. I had to get two new ones replaced from LMC due to damage during shipping or just poor QC. I just ordered one for the driver front side that got dinged somehow and they shipped it in a huge box with great packaging. I'm pleased with...

    Worst OBS mods

That's really funny! I searched for an appropriate (hideous) pic on the web and what are the chances (on the whole world wide web) that we'd choose the same pic????? I guess WE really don't like that truck and its mods very well.

    Worst OBS mods

My previous post reminded my of my pet peeve. I'm not a big fan of today's lifts on GMT400s, those with large rims and rubber band tires. Kinda like this pic looks. Just a little too modern for our trucks, I believe.

I was curious and found out that the whole look came from Baja/Offroad Desert racing. The lower back end physically allowed the truck to have less damage when absorbing the impact of jumping. Cali Lean and Carolina Squat are one in the same. Though, I'm not sure how much desert racing and...

    Worst OBS mods

Or; OBS - Old Body Style , NBS - New Body Style , to differentiate when there was a need with the '99 switch over.

Breaking yard etiquette. Discussion debate personal views please

You mean it wasn't "Rich, Corinthian Leather" in my best Ricardo Montalban voice?

Well, to be honest our trucks ARE from another century. By that reasoning alone, they MUST be officially old. :)

    Worst OBS mods

I guess that all depends on your frame of reference. 30 years is not that old to me either, but to others it certainly is. Of course, the term originated when the GMT800 was introduced in 1999 to differentiate the NBS from the OBS. Some models you could have a '99 OBS, while others would be a...

    1990 K2500 Radio/Equalizer Upgrade

You can see from this pic the effort mine took. I did, however, use the inline amp from Restround (Quadraphonic), so you won't have that in your build. You can also see where I spliced into the factory harness up near the dash. The harness adapter should be used to plug into the factory with...
