    As long as the ecm numbers match it doesn't matter. Your prom chip is what tells you computer the information on engine size, gear ratio etc.

    It's not just the computer but also the prom chip. You might have to get a custom chip ir get one from a junk yard. The prom chips are pretty specific. They have gear ratio, transmission type, engine size and other specifics. Try to find a truck with a stick in it and a 5.7 liter engine attached...

    You will need an adapter to check the fuel pressure. A lot of fuel pressure gauges will have the adapter included. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
