Thanks for reviving this thread. It's exactly why I came here. Have water leaking under near blower motor and I knew someone here probably had the same problem. Saved me from having to search.
I figured it was the cowl area but wanted a good place to start looking.
For now i'm leaving my drivers side out, until i get the spring tool. i must say i like the way the door feels without the roller, seems so much smoother.
Well noticed my battery hold down is gone and a ground wire that comes straight off the negitive cable to fender had came loose. Going to buy new battery cable and secure the battery and continue from there.

why buy a another bed when you have already started on the red one? If its like mine I understand, lot of hidden rust on the under side and inside the wheel wells.
FORGET adapters. Man I ran Irocs on my truck for a little bit with some adapters and I was always afraid they were going to fail. The ones on the front came loose more than once even with red thread locker.
Either convert your truck or get different rims IMO
