    Another hi from New Zealand

Nah, been doing the Auckland/Tauranga trip for about 5 years now, but even still, that's a bloody long time for that stretch of road! Often go the Tahuna way and head over the Kaimais. Huh - I didn't realize the Aussie had the GMT400 platform from new! Who would want an Aussie version though...

Tiny Trucker - yeah, work down here, been working in Tauranga for about 13 odd years now! There is pretty much no rust damage, except for surface rust. There's a whine from the power steering, but when I replace the belt, I'll flush that, if that doesn't do the job will replace the pump. I...

    Grandpa's 1995 C1500 Reborn

What an awesome job you've done!! Nice work! I just bought my first GMC, I lived in Canada for ages, but moved to New Zealand in around 2002. Been wanting one of these beasts since I was like 12, so it's nice to have one! This is my truck: http://i.imgur.com/cjmqCYN.jpg 1994 GMC C1500, 5.7...

    Another hi from New Zealand

Thanks! Tiny Trucker - I'm based in Tauranga as well (Monday through Thursday). And yep - came from WC classics. I looked at quite a few Chev's/GMC's and liked that one the best. Paint work isn't the best (it is an older truck!), but I think overall the condition was really good. Doing a bunch...

    Serpentine belt replacement

Haha, yep happy :) Thanks heaps for the help! Looking at the codes in the glove box, it's a 100 amp alternator. It's newish though, so can't really see any rating anywhere, even stamped in the metal.

    New Zealand members?

Hey there, Just wondering if there were any other NZ owners of Chev/GMC trucks on here? Found some resources for getting parts and what not, but curious about other people in New Zealand that own these trucks.

Thanks! Picture from when she was in the US: http://imgur.com/a/M1JKj You don't hear many V8's that sound like that in NZ, we've got Holden's and Fords, but they're not the same!

    Serpentine belt replacement

Sorry about that, was probably just remembering from memory and in my head it's on the left! Will remember right side anyways! :-)

Looking towards the rear (otherwords, where the air intake comes in).

    Serpentine belt replacement

Cheers for that, don't think I've ever seen an air pump before, the a/c on mine is far top left. That def confirms a couple things anyways - thanks!

    Serpentine belt replacement

Hi there, I just bought a 1994 GMC Sierra C1500, 5.7. I'm just having a bit of an issue finding out what belt to get. Mine is looking a bit worn, but I'm not sure what part number (ie. from Amazon) that I should get. If I look at something like Continental Elite and decode the VIN, I get quite...

    Another hi from New Zealand

Hey all, Just bought my first 94' GMC Sierra 1500, had one owner when it was in the US (Canadian built truck). We had quite a few trucks in the family when I lived in Canada, so it's finally awesome to have one of my own! She's a pretty awesome truck, has some niggles here and there, but...
