    Ridgid makes a good flaring tool. Parker Hannefin and Swagelock make good compression fittings for SS, a bit pricey but they are worth it to me.

    Most all the converters are phosphoric acid of some type, Ospho has been around for along time and actually works well. I use it on nearly all bare metal as a protect-ant and on on rusty things to convert the rust to a primer. Works well on nearly all things metal.

    If the coolant sensor is bad the ECU thinks it is -50 degrees and adds fuel like mad once it gets warm the fuel air mix is too rich. Should help you mileage too..since you fixes it
