    Machine shop was agle to weld crack for me. Cost was 100. I'll try to get i stalled in the next week or so.

    The engine is a 5.7. I have che kwd the local yards and there are no used ones. We'll see what happens from the shop.

    Machine shop said they should be able to fix it. Mainly depends how deep and if there are any bad blowouts. Should get back in about 2 weeks due to their workload. Will post back once i get it back

    Had intake leak and decided to replace gaskets. Pulled lower intake off and noticed crack between both driver front bolts. Leak was commung from driver rear down back of motor. Can this be fixed at machine shop. Crack doesn't seem to go into water port but does go to edge. not quite sure.

    Very rough idle

    I'll get the plugs and wires changed out but would that make a difference with the MAF. If i unplug it the idle goed to normal but when plugged in it is rough. Put new one in and it didn't change still idles rough.

    Compessiin is good. Have changed out cap. Will try new wires and plugs. Distributor was installed back in the same location. I did put to tdc to make sure rotor was pointing to #1. Did wonder if it should be to where wire goes in cap or to where electrode is since they are offset.

    I have a 96 5.7 with 278000 miles. I had lower intake leak and just replaced the gaskets. After changing gaskets and putting back together i am getting very rough idle on startup. Giving gas bogs engine before catching up. Checked codes but none present. Live data shows missfire on 2 & 7. Both...
