    I wouldn't worry about trans temps when its freezing out either. Here in AZ, where its 110+ every day in the summer, I worry about heat lol.

    Why would anyone do this swap when you get just put a 4.25" stroke crank in with new pistons and have a 8.1L without any swapping or issues?

    Unless you buy a corvette, no gen 1 small block ever came with aluminum heads. On top of that, vortec irons flow better/make more power then oem aluminums. Aluminum heads in 1999 would have to be an LS motor aka Gen 3 small block.

    oem LT1 cam. Lt4 is slightly bigger[and designed for 1.6 rockers], LT4 hot cam much bigger. Ramjet cam is still super tiny for 350cid.

    I have to ask, what exactly does quality mean to you? What about the OEM heads is not quality to begin with? If you think performance= quality, then you'll need to change the tune. If you think quality means well built, oem is as good as any non chinese junk out there.

    Swapping NBS front brakes onto an OBS is easy with a spindle swap if your 4x4, then you can use either OEM 13" or 14" front rotors. Simple as that.

    By rebuild do you mean have them just do machine work or are they doing the building as well? If so then a GM vortec engine is the way to go. If you can assemble yourself, rebuild.
