3/4 Ton Lift Springs
When I added my 3/4 leaf pack it added 2-1/2". For those of you looking to do this keep in mind even with the 3/4 the ride is way rougher. Going down dirt roads empty you can definatly notice how much stiffer they are, on pavement not so much until you hit a bump. Also keep in mind depending on... -
Troubleshoot: Lost power...
I dont know how strick your emissions are but I know that when a cat gets to hot( purple color) it can start to melt the "waffle" material inside, when its cool air still passes through when it gets hot and starts to melt it starts not letting air through. On mine it caused the truck to idle...- 93 K1500

Mystery oil leak
There is also a Elbow on the very back of the motor that if it hasnt ever been changed it is plastic and a very common place that these motors leak If the motor is in the truck you can only see it with a mirror- 93 K1500

How Much Can YOU Haul IN 1/2 Ton???
Yes it lifted the rear 2", I didnt mess with the front because now when it is loaded it sits perfectly level. -
Smog Help
Well Had to get the truck smogged at a test on center, passed all the emisions portions of the test but failed on the Fuel Evaporator leakdown test. Does anyone know of a good way to diagnose at home where the leak is- local shop wants 200 for just a smoke test. Thanks -

Will I need a ball joint press???
Remember to cover or block the sparks from the CV boot before grinding off the tops, one spark melts thru and ur doing more than ball joints. I have a whole bunch of pics from when I did mine I will try and post em when I get off.- 93 K1500

:buttkick:Final Verdict- Torque Converter was seated Properly, the tech admitted he had to pull the torque converter out about 1" to bolt it up, in doing that the "ears" from the torque converter were only in gauged half way. Update- Drive line does not turn, or even ingauge (chevy Clunk from park to gear) Trans shop said something in the valve body, got stuck and fried it, they replaced the valve body under warranty - now they said there is still no fluid pressure, Thay are saying that they think the pump broke...- 93 K1500

Is it very Common to snap the output Shaft- and I would guess it would grind the whole time in that case wouldnt it??? Just bouncing ideas here.- 93 K1500

I was wondering if maybe they gave me a trans case from a different year- I know the 94 will only interchange with 94' -I think because the bolt pattern but I am not sure. I thought that there were a couple years where they had a shorter shaft- so maybe I didnt brake the ears just groung them...- 93 K1500
