not quite, my current '99 has the original 400 HB no leaking whatsoever and in comparison the 800 HB does make the brakes grab better and quicker stop time
1500 what? have you swapped a hydroboost into? my '92 burb I had a leak in the original HB, and got lucky at the scrap yard one day to get one from an '03 2500. hammered out one of the bolts that didnt line up, bolted it in and instant results when i took it for a test drive. 400 hb = moderate...
in both circumstances, "not knowing" what is good and assuming the other is because of heresay, is not the mindstate you should be in when deciding. If i were you test that 80 out first, and go from there. i've had mine go 400k in one of my work trucks while not need anything except fluid and...
The last Suburban to come with a 2 piece driveshaft was the '91 squarebody. all GMT400 burbs ive owned were 1 piece, shorter length for 4wd due to the transfer case
itll last about 8 months, my '92 i had lost reverse first and then 3 rd gear after running it full line pressure. but why even tinker with a computer tho when the company TransGo makes a vacuum modulator kit to dictate line pressure via intake manifol vacuum likes it daddy the TH400? no u dont...
a carbed intake and HEI doesnt require any "hacking". just a lil rewiring
crusie control and A/c have 0 to do with the EFI part of it. O.D can be obtained via toggle switch by tapping into the brown wire under the hood at the ECM, its next to the 4l80 Solenoid A and B wires (yellow/black stripe...

I want to ask after searchin and getting various answers, is this a LEAN or RICH condition when this occurs?
Backstory:
Carb converted L29. HEI has new internal guts. New platinum iridium plugs. For the last 3 weeks I had very bad backfiring out the top of the 4 barrel and truck didnt run...
U don't have to download it. There's a preview to play the video. And Mega.nz is the cloud version of Megaupload, which has been around since the late 90s. Lol Better than icloud apple bs
As for what u mentioned, I was able to pin point the ticking coming from the exhaust valve on piston #6...
Carbed/ HEI converted L29. This noise started about 3 weeks ago, only faint, at cold start, and then would go away when engine would warm up (195 t stat). Yesterday that changed. She is louder now. Coming from the passenger side. Engine has good power on acceleration.
Anyone had this happen...
