Older bds 6" lift what length shocks?!?

I run the Bilstein 5100 series on my lifted truck mate, these are what you want :driver: Front = https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/bsn-33-061399/overview/ Rear = https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/bsn-24-067379/overview/

Tire size kn a half ton

I wouldn't run 35's with that gear, it'll run worse than a pig in heels. I run 35/12.5R20 on my 1/2 ton but I changed to 4.56 gears.

    Daily truck pics

Hi Jack. It's the 4". I debated long and hard between the 2 & 4". I figured because the truck is lifted, big wheels etc the 4" would look better and it does. Didn't know there is a 6" option. I've had a black satin vinyl installed on the side of the scoop to give it that subtle break.

    96 Burb K1500 Under DownUnder

Went land speed racing last weekend. Never done anything like that before, what a great weekend. Track days do not compare to this rush of speed. Truck was a pleasure to drive, certainly a head turner that's for sure. The corvette that was parked next to me sure is purrtee, and certainly...

    Who’s done snorkels?

I've helped a couple mates fabricate them out of 4" PVC drain pipe - bit rangi but it works though. I prefer them made out 4" SS pipe - looks way betterer; could use exhaust pipe if that is all you have/can afford. Local engineer fabricates them like this:

My Rear Disc swap from drums observations

That is the difference between what we call "steerers and drivers". For those of us who have driven professionally, use the brakes to hold the vehicle not the gearbox no matter if it's 40T or 2T. Gearbox is not designed for the way you are using it - period. Just because you have been doing...

The guards (fenders) were blended to match the new paint, flares were re-fixed, grille inserts painted black. Much betterer but still a work in progress switch installed for my rear mount winch

My Rear Disc swap from drums observations

Interesting read on the technical stuff fullas. I do strongly agree on one thing . . . drums suck! :nutkick: I actually remembered to adjust them while I had my rear wheels off, now my parking brake holds more betterer but for how long, who knows. Shoes are new and the drums were re-faced...

    Lift knuckles

I disagree, and I say, yes you can because I simply did just that what the OP is asking. I had a rancho 6" lift already on the truck when I bought it. Due to compliance laws here, I cannot use a modified steering link, so I removed it. I installed the later model 6" lifted BDS knuckles and...
