Oh man, that looks pretty good too. Anybody here have one? With that in mind though, the thought is that I'll eventually have a bull bar anyway so maybe that'll be the approach I'll take instead.
I am considering ordering one to use on my Dodge van. It has no place to mount aux lights on the bumper and I am thinking of a pair of road lights on one of those for late night returns from some of the odd places I have to go with my van.

That looks really good, 95C1500! A friend of mine has some sort of billet grill he wants to give me so I'll have to decide if that'll go well with the bar.

I've also wondered if something build into a bumper would be cool. Unfortunately we have to have our front plate's visible so a center mounted light bar on the bumper wouldn't work... however an aftermarket bumper might be something to consider as well. My rear bumper has a rust hole and my front bumper looks to be drooping a bit + the trim is in hard shape. Everyone around here who has a clean bumper wants an absolute fortune for it so for the sake of an extra 200$ I could probably get a nice beefy bumper from online and start finding ways to mount things in it... *drool*
Here they are with an insert. You don't notice the insert blocking any light

I wanted more of a stock look lol. I miss it sometimes though

I mean, your truck looks great regardless but I love that billet look combined with the clear corners especially in the sun. I find the clear corners if put on dark trucks stand out too much but on yours it suits.

Come to think of it, buddy of mine has a billet for sale...

Dave (@88GMCtruck) did this on his 98 Dually, I think Scott (@95C1500) had two bars behind his grille on his 95, and there was a couple other guys who did it as well, I can't recall the names off the top of my head; that's how I plan on mounting a bar whenever I get around to buying and installing one;

I think both Dave and Scott had pictures in their threads of how they mounted them, plus both of their trucks threads are definitely worth thumbing through, tons of ideas.

Threw a bug deflector on the truck. Tossing around ideas about how I want the lights set up on the truck. I have the stock DRLs but with the new LED headlights it looks odd because they run full power during the day (as seen in the picture.) The idea was originally to have the 4hi mod and the two bottom lights white to have a block of four lit up when on high beams so I installed the white switchbacks in the turn signal housings.

Now looking at it I wonder what it'd look like with one white switchback on the outside of the housing (so low beam and light directly below it are white) and the inner on the signal is amber.

Hmmmmmm...

Quick little update:

  • New 285/75/16 General Grabber AT2 tires
  • Blacked out grill
  • LED HI/LOW beams
  • Outer turn bulb is LED Switchback, inner turn bulb is now amber.
  • Bug deflector

Was trying to find a major clunk in my front end for a while now and finally figured it out. The control arm alignment bolts on the passenger side go loose when the wheel is turned tight causing the clunk. When you jack up the truck however, everything is tight as could be.
