I had a built 93 a couple years ago and since selling it I've missed it thoroughly... until late this summer when I purchased another. This one is pretty solid considering it's a Northern Truck. I'm the second owner.

This is my daily driver for the time being so I've spent a bunch of time cleaning up the front end will all new aftermarket parts and replacing/upgrading parts that have gone bad with better/stronger/cleaner replacements. The overall theme for the truck is to keep things clean and to slowly work towards a more aggressive looking truck without going overboard.

Current Modifications:
  • Bedlined bottom 1/4 truck
  • 2 inch block/level with extended shocks
  • Aftermarket tails (to replace the old stock one that fell out on highway LOL)
  • LED bulbs upgrade interior/exterior.
  • Switch back LED signals
  • Roof rack
  • Bed lined wheels + aftermarket center caps
  • Window Vents
  • Air Resonator removed
Planned Modifications: (parts owned, but haven't found time to install them):
Future Modifications:
  • 33s 12.5
  • Push bar
  • Back rack/toolbox (if I remove cap)
  • Slightly more aggressive muffler
  • Roof lights if I don't go with the rooftop lightbar (not sure if I have the heart to drill into my roof LOL)
  • Black out grill
  • Maybe grey out the front and rear bumper. I don't want the truck to be all black but not a fan of chrome.
  • Fender flares for the 33s

I'm always open to feedback and ideas you have about the truck. Hopefully I'll keep this thread updated with what goes on with the truck for those of you that are interested. This is a slow build, and I won't be going as crazy and awesome as some others here.

Look forward to hearing from everyone.

Good looking truck. I wouldn't mount an LED lightbar on my roof even if it was free. Tackiest mod you can do to a truck IMO.

Any pics of the '93 you used to own?

Unfortunately I don't. I think they're buried somewhere on a USB drive that I've lost. It was a blue 93 k1500 350tbi 5psd, 6 in lifted on 35s, nothing incredible but I absolutely loved the thing.

I don't mind the look of lightbars on the roof - but on the same hand I'm completely open to finding an alternative way of mounting a bar on the truck. Hard to find a spot to put a light bar on the front of a truck that looks half clean.

Behind the grille; that's always a winner.

That's not a bad idea! Does anyone here have a good setup for that? I'm going to have to do some searching to see what kind of inspiration I can come up with.

Dave (@88GMCtruck) did this on his 98 Dually, I think Scott (@95C1500) had two bars behind his grille on his 95, and there was a couple other guys who did it as well, I can't recall the names off the top of my head; that's how I plan on mounting a bar whenever I get around to buying and installing one;

I think both Dave and Scott had pictures in their threads of how they mounted them, plus both of their trucks threads are definitely worth thumbing through, tons of ideas.

That looks really good, 95C1500! A friend of mine has some sort of billet grill he wants to give me so I'll have to decide if that'll go well with the bar.

I've also wondered if something build into a bumper would be cool. Unfortunately we have to have our front plate's visible so a center mounted light bar on the bumper wouldn't work... however an aftermarket bumper might be something to consider as well. My rear bumper has a rust hole and my front bumper looks to be drooping a bit + the trim is in hard shape. Everyone around here who has a clean bumper wants an absolute fortune for it so for the sake of an extra 200$ I could probably get a nice beefy bumper from online and start finding ways to mount things in it... *drool*
