Well since I am starting to burn through these fairly often and really don't feel like making anymore individual threads for less important trucks, here I am copying thz71 and polarbear with a single thread and multiple trucks!

Picked this up for $220 delivered. 1994 ECLB 6.5/4L80e Silverado with 343k. Had an engine fire that started at the batteries then proceeded to melt most of the harness. It's sat since 2010 so the wild animals made the engine bay their home and it's bad. Real bad. One owner truck though! The title I have is from 1994.

Plans? May part it, may put a harness in it and see if it runs, drop a 350 in it then sell it. I dunno. I'll take better pics in the morning these were ****** ones. Interior honestly isn't that bad. Drivers seat doesn't even have a tear.

Yeah I have a lot lol. Think like 6 or 7. I need to pull some last minute things from my 94 parts 6.5, the 95 parts truck, and the wrecked 93 truck and scrap them. By this point I don't have much usable from them. Probably bring in a few hundred in scrap I'm hoping!

I could totally part out this new 94, depends if I like it enough. Might sell the green truck. Who knows!

Still have another truck I am supposedly getting, 89 or 90 RC stepside with a 350 and 700r4. Needs bearings and it's lowered. I've been busy so I haven't talked to the guy about it yet.

Dnt sell green, that's a nice truck an with few things it'll be a good rig, but if you were to sell though it could fund the crew cab.
If I could I'd totally haul the new 94 away. That price I can barely find used motors for

Okay I won't sell it lol. I do like the truck but I still have yet to smog it and that's freaking me out about it. Along with the front end being trashed, I'd be hauling it on a trailer anywhere for smog before I drove it with the thrashed front end.

And sometimes I score, not often lol. Truck has a remanufactured turbo so I'm guessing this guy kept up on maintenance. I have to stop by the junkyard tomorrow to pull some stuff then head out to spend my weekend cleaning this truck up. Might end up pulling the engine and trans so I can start fresh with the wiring and make sure everything is okay. First is making it roll then cleaning all the **** up.

Also I picked up that 4.8 LS today in Rancho Cordova, took Highway 65 then 70 to Chester to drop it off. I cannot stand the stop-go-stop-go traffic down there! Took like an hour to drive 17 miles once I got off I80.

Some updates! Damn near killed my shopvac and used a pressure washer for literally 5 hours today if not longer. Made the truck roll, then started cleaning. I also cleaned up the interior! I will admit it was no fun cleaning petrified poo and getting blasted in the face from mouse **** due to the pressure washer.

Whoever the previous owner was took care of this truck. I found a set of genuine Stanadyne intake gaskets and a brand new spare PMD behind the back seat when I was cleaning the truck up.

This truck definitely takes dedication to work on. I guarantee almost anyone else who ended up with this truck would have parted it. The rear axle is worth what I paid for the entire thing. What makes me different is I'm dedicated to work on this **** and when I get to drive this thing I will be stoked. It's going to be a while though. I'm probably going to end up pulling the engine so I can check it out before I put it back into the truck and drive it. I have time so I might as well do it right! My buddy told me I should sell this thing but my problem is I take a pile of **** truck and make it better then I keep it lol

Makes me wonder what the HVAC ducting/plenum and cowl (inside and outside the cab) areas are like. Places like the bottoms of the fenders and other assorted not so easy to see into places as well. Mice go EVERYWHERE!

This one is kinda like the one I just bought in that it was cheap and will take a lot of work to get going. I probably won't truly start on the burgundy truck until after Christmas.

I guess we shall find out when the truck is running for the first time and I turn the heater on, I'll either get mice **** in my face or it will be dust! Somehow they didn't make it into the truck, the glovebox was empty and there are zero signs of them being inside the truck. I didn't even see the multi-colored insulation in the engine bay, which I'm happy about. Every other vehicle I owned with mice nests involved the interior!

I look forward to your progress, and to be honest I'd rather work on what you have than this truck. Mainly because it's a 454 and I have never owned one lol. And this 6.5 is going to be a slow one as well, since I'm ripping the engine out in addition to all the electrical work.

-----------

So today was fun. Didn't do anything with the 6.5 but did yank the engine and trans finally out of the wrecked 93. It took a while and I was having a fight trying to remove the passenger side motor mount bolt... until I realized that the entire clamshell mount was broken and I was wasting my time. Oh and to add to all of this, Tyler ended up with a big portion of skin missing in his palm and I cut the living f*** out of my thumb on the core support trying to remove the headlight harness. And I hit a vane too, so I was bleeding fast. Luckily I got it all dealt with properly. I have never had so much blood in my mouth, this truck is cursed! It even broke Tyler's few month old phone too while we were changing the transmission!

Also fun fact about me: Out of my old 98 k1500 and this truck, literally every other of the 10+ trucks I've had needed the engine to come out for one reason or another. Literally. And the engine in my 98 should have came out because it had rod knock but I continued to just send it till I was rear ended. Thought about that today and found it funny! Oh, @BowtieBrody interested in a clean 6.5 bumper? The one on this truck is pretty straight with no "recorded" damage ;)
