Are tahoe frames and rcsb frames the same?

So my dad thinks he can take the body off of his tahoe and swap it with our 91 stepside. He wants the v8 and trans from the tahoe and thinks this is the best solution. I think the best way would be to just do an eng/trans swap and keep the tahoe together because i thought the frames had a different design. Are the frames different? They measure out to almost the same length but thats as far as we've really looked into it because of other projects,i just really want some better advice on this before we get balls deep into it and realize it wont work lol
